Two practical things patients never get told:

The boot matters. A pneumatic CAM walker that actually fits is $88 in our office. The random device from a big-box aisle is how people get hot spots, swelling, and a second problem.

The after-hours question matters. A RateMDs review from a patient I repaired an Achilles rupture for — not even a fracture — is still the standard: they called on weekends and got an answer. Fracture patients should expect the same.
