Dr. David Heath earned a B.S. in Biology with a Chemistry minor at California State University, an M.S. in Health Sciences, and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University in Miami Shores in 2002.
He completed residency across Plantation General Hospital, the VA in La Jolla / San Diego, and Mercy Hospital in Miami, with additional training in vascular, orthopedic, plastic, and anesthesia services. He later completed a mini-fellowship at the Ilizarov Institute in Kurgan, Russia, studying external fixation.
Mission work with the Baja Crippled Children Project and the Yucatán Project in Mexico focused on congenital deformities rarely seen in U.S. clinics, including pediatric and adult clubfoot.
He has practiced in Cooper City for more than two decades, including 11 years in the Wound Healing Center at Memorial Pembroke. He is on staff at Memorial Regional, West, Pembroke, Miramar, South, and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
