Reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery is its own board certification through ABFAS. Dr. David Heath holds that additional credential. Dr. Liliana Heath is board-certified in foot surgery and operates here as well.

Dr. David Heath also completed Ilizarov training in Kurgan, Russia. An Ilizarov frame is an external fixator: rings and wires outside the leg that hold the bone while it heals. It is used when a deformity or an infection makes a plate or screws inside the bone a poor fit.
